Happened to a friend of a friend, and he was 18 months to full recovery.
Apparently depends on the ‘grade’ of the year.c which will determine whether or not you’ll need surgery.
Hope it turns out ok! Instantly think of Scott Mendelson when I hear pec tear.
Haha mine went pretty purple, but nothing like that.
Did your friend of a friend have surgery? I'm not sure of the grade yet. Was told I could rehab it back to a pretty good level, but sounded likely I'd need surgery to get back to 100%.

Yeah its brutal without some aid! Can imagine most achieve it in that way. Yeah, its getting to a stage where im struggling now, Im down to about 12ish%, not feeling great with the amount of effort and lack of food and the slow results at this stage make it even harder to stay on track.
Have you measured the BF% or is that your estimate?
Very common with people overestimating their BF% especially when dropping a good amount of weight

Should have added, he did have surgery and as far as I know, he’s back to where he was previously, albeit a bit more cautious now.
Im aiming to have abs by the end of May. This is just by weightlifting, and doing LISS for half hour at the end of every session, and being on a calorie deficit.
Also take a few supps and a fat burner as well.
How much do you weigh now and how tall are you?
Also, what’s your waist measurement, measured above the belly button?

Forgot to add, if you’ve been on a constant deficit with no high calorie days, then your body goes into survival mode and preserves its fat as it’s not getting enough calories.
You need to add in a cheat day/meal to ‘trick’ it out of starvation mode.

Old myth that,
For your body to go into "survival mode" you need to be basically not eating at all, the body will use fat for energy if there is no calories/glycogen stored. If your sweat smells like ammonia that means your body is using fat for energy.
Also one cheat day per week doesn't do much for your metabolism, if you are stuck at a weight try increasing your calories and keep it at that level until you plateau again. Your metabolism adapt to your diet so after a while (months) you need to change it up. The leaner you get the "more" you need to eat to not start losing muscles.

I have measured on some smart scales which I know are not entirely accurate and also estimated using other people as guides which is why I said about 12%ish.
I dropped another kg during the last couple of weeks though so feeling a little better about it!

You need to be great at pull ups, particularly in the top range of motion (getting chest to bar). The top movement is similar to a dip so it's also worthwhile working on those.
If you can't do a pullup yet I'd suggest the following vid could be helpful https://youtu.be/fO3dKSQayfg

That looks horrific ^. Wish you a quick recovery Ineff.
On another note, has anyone actually managed to get abs? I have increased my cardio massively over the last 12 months, I ran over 1200 miles, I have generally been eating well and always in a calorie deficit, I have dropped about 20kg, but only have 2 abs, How fucking hard is it!!!

I think abs are more down to diet. My friends who calorie count or do a keto diet are the ones with the best abs. Getting strong is way more fun than getting abs.
Im on 5x65 kg dips right now but now im scared of increasing
That sucks Ineff
That's good work man, what's your body weight?
Had an MRI on my pec, but need to go back for another one on my bicep as the tear goes all the way down to it.

Ineff what would you say are your key exercises to build towards muscle up for a beginner?
