^Nice bit of hype-building by the bookies to thieve some ante-post money on a non-runner.

my mate was telling me something tonight, a guy he knows through a friend has worked out some "algorithm" and is a pro gambler, but needs people to open bank accounts in their name and give him the details, once they do he transfers them some money and thats that… what the fuck is this?

Uses their accounts/details to open/fund new betting accounts and rapes the sign-up offers, whilst also being able to get more bets on. A guy at my work was doing it a while back.

Depends what he's offering I guess. Guy at work paid out £100 a week for as long as the betting accounts linked to the bank account stayed open/not limited. You'll need to have hardly any betting accounts in your name, and I'd be wary of what it might do to your credit rating. A lad I know who agreed to do it said £105K was turned over through the account in 8 weeksLaughing out loud

People who are actually successful on betting sites frequently get their accounts banned or limited. They need new accounts for this reason, and might as well make more money with a new account as you often get a signup bonus.

I'm not sure why it would affect your credit score, as you aren't applying for any credit (assuming it is just Bet365, SkyBet etc etc), but if you want to apply for a mortgage or potentially other loans (new business?) they may look at your statements which will obviously not look good even if you are 'up'.

It's probably illegal and certainly against the terms of your bank account.

he's just doing matched betting/offers on multiple accounts. You could do the exact same thing and make all the money yourself, it's not rocket science. I would say he needs multiple accounts because he simply does signup offers. "algorithm" Laughing out loud

Seems like a shit way to make a living but he probably doesn't have much else going for him
