Are you serious?
At the drop of the first snowflake, every cunt in this country claims to be snowed in and doesn’t go to work.
Transport closes, schools close, sport is postponed.

However. ONS said there was a 10,000 more deaths recorded during those 3 months to the average or what they would expect. (7.7% increase)
I’d be interested to see what was the number of deaths they predicted prior to this c19 period and see if there’s an increase.
Some credible news sources including the BBC have already floated the idea that some people dying might have died during this period anyway.

You had me until the NHS part. In that case, no.

Oh look. A wild wanker.

Oh look. Someone who’s been clapping at 8pm every Thursday like we’re in North Korea. People are paid to do their jobs - in the case of NHS staff, their job is to look after the sick.

If we’re going to appreciate everyone who’s making our lives easier in these times, then there’s a lot more unsung heroes out there, like maybe refuse collectors, without whom we would have a real plague on our hands.

Now go back to banging pots and pans mate.

It's not their fault the NHS is massively under-funded and for the first time in their lives a crisis now puts them at risk just by going to work. Clap for your bin men and just don't tell anyone you are clapping for them, rather than be a massive cunt and come on here to remind us all of that fact.

Why are you such a hater? What’s wrong with your little tiny brain? Why do you want businesses to suffer? Is that your inner commie?

Don't you see he's just hating on your business cos you're a massive twat? Whats wrong with your tiny brain not to see that??

fudge.dredd wrote: The response to this covid bollocks is in no way relative to the actual deaths. Don’t you see that?

Only have to look at Italy or Spain to see that by just being late to the lockdown party , thousands more deaths would arise. No lockdown would see over a million deaths a year. It's simple maths when you see over 500 deaths on a daily basis for an extended period of time during lockdown periods to bring the number down.

Themistake is another twat on this forum. Zero respect for the nurses and doctors that have died so far due to the virus. Am sure he will come back at me and say some shit like they could have died during a car accident or some shit just going to work and we'd have the same kind of death stats coming out of hospitals. Same could be said for the 5 bus drivers I guess. Glad Coachella was cancelled on you after you flew all that way for it. Karma for being a twat.

Haha.
Someone quotes 40000 deaths, someone else quotes 2000. I quote the office of national statistics official figures.
And I’m a twat who doesn’t respect nurses?

I’m glad you are so salty over my personal life mate.

You're a twat for not understanding that the frontliners the virus is killing have been revealed to be in some cases mums with young kids, doctors who were able to fully function in their roles and not even that old and transport staff who were able to carry out their jobs just fine before the virus took their lives. Yes it's killing a lot of old people but its not discriminating either. Who gives a fuck that it's killing SOME people that MIGHT have died anyway when it's clearly killing a whole lot more? Don't care for your BBC source as it brings nothing to the shit point you were trying to make.

I don't understand that? where on earth did I say that? please point it out where I said that.

Simply saying what the bbc are reporting. And in the exact 'profound' way.

Why are you bringing up my tax contributions to try and prove your shitty point?
I pay tax like every PAYE and PSC in the UK.

Said this from day 1 he's a troll. Of course people are going to call him out but I just ignore him. Think Milspex helped since he was doing this for years, but he's alright once you talk about to him about other stuff .

Same article where you got your source from

"Every year, about 600,000 people in the UK die. And the frail and elderly are most at risk, just as they are if they have coronavirus."

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51979654

themistake wrote: Some credible news sources including the BBC have already floated the idea that some people dying might have died during this period anyway.

According to the graph you posted the period is more of half a year when covid started taking lives (March) and goes upto August only . They are predicting 510,000 deaths for that period if nothing was done. There will surely be a fair few more Corona deaths for the rest of the year as our curve comes down and as China is showing us already that it doesnt truly go away. The graph is not accounting for the rest of the year and the extra deaths.

Let's say we get rid of Corona by August. We still have 4 months of the year to go. Then add January and February deaths to account the rest of the year too. It's very clear that without a lockdown thousands of lives would be lost that shouldn't have been. Maybe as many as hundreds of thousands by the end of the year , were we to just ignore it.

agreed, just agree that it's fucked and the NHS is a badly funded, badly run business but has people within it who are being selfless and putting themselves at risk for our benefit.

also agree that fudge is a massive, pompous cunt.

Did I start that? It’s not about wealth mate. If you can’t see, it’s an act. I do this to rile you up. You think I act like this in reality?

Ok OFFICE OF NATIONAL STATISTICS.

https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/excesswintermortalityinenglandandwales/2017to2018provisionaland2016to2017final

In the 2017 to 2018 winter period, there were an estimated 50,100 excess winter deaths in England and Wales.

The number of excess winter deaths in 2017 to 2018 was the highest recorded since winter 1975 to 1976.

During the winter months of 2017 to 2018, the number of daily deaths exceeded the daily five-year average for all days except 25 March.

Excess winter mortality in 2017 to 2018 significantly increased from 2016 to 2017 in all English regions and Wales, with Wales having the highest regional index.

Excess winter mortality continued to be highest in females and people aged 85 and over.

Excess winter mortality doubled among males aged 0 to 64 years between 2016 to 2017 and 2017 to 2018.
Over one-third (34.7%) of all excess winter deaths were caused by respiratory diseases.

Just like COVID the data will always be skewed but there will be many many deaths that would have occurred anyway, whether COVID came round or not.

Like the amount of men who die WITH prostate cancer, not OF it.

Simple distinction but it’ll all come out in the wash once the economy is trashed and we’re repaying it for the next decade plus via increased taxes and pillaged pensions.
