Where the Monkey Sleeps do the food now in Sleazy. The burgers are pretentiously named, but they are huge and pretty good.

Cos in Princes Square is worth a look, and there's an RL store along Ingram Street towards Merchant City (where you'll probably get a better feed too to be honest, try the Brunswick Hotel or something). Frasers at the bottom of Buchanan St has stock of all the luxury brands, full Gucci footwear range etc.
Definitely try the Brunswick Hotel if you're over that way I went back at the end of June and it was great and really quite cheap too IIRC.

Laughing out loud Ulster_Blue

Blythswood Square, Carlton George Hotel, Grand Hotel, Hotel Indigo, Radisson BLU are all pretty central (Blythswood Square is west of the "centre centre" but still central).

Hotel du Vin is much further out in the West End, which is nice but not so convenient if you're doing stuff in the centre. Although you can have a go on the comical Subway if you stay out there.

If you're planning on heading through to Edinburgh then you'd be better off somewhere central as close to Queen Street station as possible. The Carlton George Hotel is perfect in that regard.
