these look really nice, any idea what they might be? the shape and thickness of the rims is exactly what I'm after, and the size also, it's so hard to find wayfarer style frames which don't look massive on my miniature face.

Search your closest Specsavers here > http://www.specsavers.co.uk/stores

Click on the store name (Not request appointment), next page should say something about a free/discounted eye test voucher at the top. Did for me anyway.

I don't know specifically what those ones are, but have a look at Salt Optics and Moscot as both of those brands may have something similar.

Anyone know what glasses Lewis Hamilton is wearing here? Frames look pretty decent.

If you're near one of the big Tesco megastores some of them now have opticians and they do free eye tests.

Got a pair of these Nalco 44 frames & there is some slight scratches on the legs. Any product I can use to polish them up again?

You need some kind of polishing compound, and preferably a soft mop wheel on an electric drill or Dremmel-type tool. Depending on how deep the scratches are using a polishing cloth by hand might work, but could take a lot of elbow grease.

This might do it: http://www.quicktest.co.uk/acatalog/Scratch-remover-for-plastics–75g-s_remover.html. (disclaimer - I haven't tried this product!)

If you happen to know any jewellers then it can be done on a polishing mop with an all-purpose polishing compound (i.e. one suitable for plastics). Some independent opticians will also have the tools to do it.

Cheers andy. Will give a polishing cloth a go as the scratches look very slight. Don't know if they're normal plastic or acetate (is there much of difference?). They do say Hand Made inside the leg though & are probably from the late 60's.

They'll be acetate I would think. Acetate is a bit softer than most plastics.

Got my Nalco's back after a buff at opticians & came up great! Cheers Andy, as good as new. Same ones as worn by the Dad in This Beastie vid.

I have a pair I sometimes wear… I like them, but the additional weight makes your frames quite heavy

I'm not sure what they are specifically but several brands have something similar in their collections.

E.g.
