Anyone recommend a good place to get lenses put in frames. Got a bargain on some han kjobenhavn frames with clip on sunnies and need my prescription put in. Thanks!

This was a while ago so may have changed. Very good value compared to Moscot but all the models I've tried previously were built for pinheads for some reason.
Over the past couple of years they've brought in large versions of a lot of their models so definitely not just for the peaheads.
The quality is great, proper pinned hinges which are becoming a rarity these days (and not seen much at this price).

Moscot will pull your pants down on the glazing.
I paid for them to do mine and you can't fault the customer service or aftercare but it's just so much money.
Just buy the frames then send them to someone like https://www.reglaze-glasses-direct.com

The local opticians quoted £260 for the frames and £150 for lenses.

Contact Séamus at The Optical Workshop and say you know me from the internet.
I've just got a pair of Amptons, and also own a pair of Moscot Nebb; latter feels a bit sturdier but also heavier, while the Amptons are very lightweight and can barely feel them on even after hours.
Both very good imo, Moscot probably slightly better overall but price is higher. Cubitts are great value for money, can't complain at all, plus their service in store and packaging is great.
For reference, i'm a wide in Nebbs and a Large in Amptons

I tried on 4 pairs of Cubitts tonight and sadly think the Moscots look slightly better on. Damn! £410 vs £125. There's not a lot in it though.

Just got my reglazed glasses back from Ciliary Blue/reglaze-glasses-direct and got all sorts of distracting reflections from them. My other glasses are nowhere near as reflective…is this down to cheap materials? I've only been wearing readers for 3/4 years and never had anything like this in my peripheral vision
