Co-sign Jones bag. I have the utility trouper. Beams do some Jones collabs too.
Plus plenty of accessories

What I have done in the last couple of years though is shorten my backswing and strike through the ball much faster using my muscles more. Hit the ball so much straighter.
Hit about 25 balls everyday into a golf net. Part of my morning exercise ritual.
It ought myself just from watching Faldo. I got to 9 handicap in less than a year of play. I then only got down to 8 (best ever handicap) the next 1 years. Had 1 lesson. The bloke had won 1 pga tour event said it’s all good but if you want to get better you have to rebuild it all as it’s so unconventional. I then just stopped and now play 4 times a year to like 20 handicap. CSB. These days however unconventional swings are less frowned upon.

9 hcp in less than a year is some going.
CSB alert.
Nobody in my family played. I taught myself from very young and then totally packed it in around age 16 due to developing a shank - did not know what it was or how to fix it.
Never got a hcp but best round was +8.
I restarted a while back after a long absence and had lessons. This resulted in more consistency but less distance. Managed to get 9.9 hcp on a tough course but could play much better on my day (shot +3 3 times).
I’ve had 2 strokes recently and whilst I can still hit balls I’m not sure I have it in me to start over again.

I’m so shit now, I’ll go double bogie, par, bogies birdie, triple bogie etc. No consistency. Need practice and with couple young kids and busy work, golf isn’t great for me now. When I’m an old boy I’ll get right into it.

Bought some am97 white shoes, so comfy which is ironic as the trainer versions aren’t so much.

I started going driving range in May 2020 (one of the first things to open during lockdown) then joined Wanstead Golf Club in July… one year on my handicap is down to 19 from playing 9 holes 2-3 times a week and one 18 hole on the weekend
It's my favourite thing to spend money on too

^ That's a good effort. I started just a bit before that but I'm still shite. I haven't managed to break 50 on a 9 hole course yet (51 is my best). My problem is inconsistency. I can get the odd birdie and par but also have disasters where I score 7 and 8's (on par 4s), particularly when I lose balls.
I tended to spend a lot of time in the range and not enough on actual courses. I've joined a council scheme and have access to a lot of courses now and plan to get out much more.
I was on my way to beating 50 last week and then lost two balls off the tee on the 8th hole. I pulled two tee shots into the forest. Really annoying as I was hitting my shots off the tee pretty well prior to that hole. I'm hoping it comes together at some point. I've also put my driver away for the time being.

Real golf is getting birdies and pars surely? Good effort.
I'm so wildly inconsistent it frustrates me. One week I can hit my tee shots relatively straight and the next I slice them into the woods.
I played 9 holes yesterday and I was hitting the ball cleanly at the practice range and then shite during the actual game. I'm going to start focusing on the longer clubs during my lessons.

Watched DeChambeau v Cantlay last night. Probably the best non-major tournament I've ever seen. Unbelievable drama in the last 2 hours of play with both men tied at -27 after 4 rounds and needing a 6 hole playoff to decide a winner.
Powerhouse V Craftsman.
Ryder Cup USA team is scarily strong this year.

Incredible golf that was, glad to see Cantlay take it; the guy was a stone cold assassin on the greens all day.
USA team always looks strong on paper but they don't gel as a team and have the camaraderie the Europeans do.
Brooks hates Bryson
Bryson hates Brooks
Cantlay and Bryson will have beef after yesterday
DJ and Brooks don't get on
And everyone hates Reed

Cantlay up to his tricks again. Could be another playoff but this time with Rahm. Neck and neck.
