sold him a homepsun thermal knit on ebay, only £50.

doesnt arrive after about a week so he opens a dispute. ive lost the tracking so i just refund him and ask him to let me know if it turns up. a few days ago i take a chance and message him saying my "tracking" tells me its delivered and did he get it.

he rplies and says yes, he did, arrived yesterday and whats my paypal to send back the money.

the next day he messages me and says actually hes decided he doesnt like the fit and wont refund me but instead will send me the top back.

i dont want the fucking top back, it's his, its not my fault he doesnt like the fit. will ebay help at all here? i told him i'm not a fucking shop and there's no returns, but hes now saying he's returning because it's in poor condition, when i actually have messages from him saying he just doesnt like the fit and earlier one's when he was offering to refund me the money, and clearly happy to keep it at that point.

most annoying thing is he would have just kept his head down and kept the money and the top.

I don’t think eBay will do anything mate - I personally think the best option you’ve got with not having tracking will be to accept the return. Then re-list the item again.
I know it’s a ballache but better than losing the cash and the item?

If you stated no returns and have proof him saying he just doesn’t like the fit then I’d send them all that to start with then see what they say. Fuckin cheeky cunts on there it’s a joke.

I know if he returns it, I haven't really lost out, but the sale was final, he cant just send it back because he's not keen. Especially not when he got it and wouldn't have told me if I hadn't messaged him.

Just seen quite a few people on here have been tattooed by him and he used to work for Hip.

I cannot overstate the need to do due diligence on people you are selling to. Tattoo artist would be an immediate red flag.

Would love to know your reasoning behind this?

Raised an issue with eBay and I think it’s now left with them. Opening a seller’s dispute is different to opening a dispute as a buyer. He told me he’s keeping the thermal and the money as I told him not to return it to me as I didn’t want it back.

Have been thinking, is he really being a prick tho? I sold him an item, it took a while to arrive and he opened a dispute, I refunded him immediately.

It then does arrive, he doesn't tell me. When I message him he promises to pay.

The changes his mind as he doesn't like the fit of the item, and claims it's in bad condition (it wasn't)

Should I have just accepted the return and moved on? Basically all he's done is insisted on returning an item he's bought on ebay because he doesn't like it. Thing is, its like me selling a sweater on fuk and the person insisting on getting their money back and returning it because they don't like it, its not the done thing.

eBay is biased against the seller and that's the problem here. He's doing it because he can.
