18 grand for a jacket is expensive but as a PR campaign it's cheap. It gets loads of people talking about grailed and elevates the grailed brand. Thing is even self-liquidating as they selling the thing at cost. The sale will probably give their site loads more hits, more sales and contribute to an investment case. Whole thing seems quite savvy IMO.

This error may have occurred as a result of a hold PayPal placed during the processing of this payment. When this hold occurs, the seller must have funds in USD in their PayPal balance to cover the Grailed fees (9-11% of the sale price), or the payment is automatically reversed. In this case, if the seller does not have the required funds in USD in their PayPal balance, they should add them by initiating a transfer from a confirmed bank account or converting a portion of an existing balance. Once the transfer or conversion is complete, the buyer should be able to successfully reattempt their purchase.
New strategy? Or did I just lose out on a sale.

I received the same email this morning. I had sold something just a few hours before. The buyer paid full asking price. I’ve also received offers on items.
Sounds like bullshit to me.

So instead of your fees getting deducted from the sale you have to pay the fees upfront and then get paid?

it's shit & dead, they should focus on their menswear niche. But investors probably demanded it
Does it not have price comparison anymore? Last time I looked there was not a single sale.

Asking me to reconnect my PayPal account, anyone else have this? I have stuff on there but to list anything new it’s asking for this. Happened to anyone else?

Yeah - happened to me a few weeks ago after not using it for a few months.
