on their website
GRAILED COMMISSION 6% + DOMESTIC PAYPAL FEES 2.9% + 30¢*
*PayPal charges 4.4% + 30 cents when either the buyer or seller are international.

No, but when I sell things it sends me the full amount and then automatically sends a payment of a little over 10% to grailed inc, is it not the same for you?

Everyone pays the 6%, just the paypal fee varies depending where you are. US to US transactions (and maybe Canada) get charged at 2.9%, everything else at 4.4%.

I think the initial payment you receive for a sale has paypal gift status - spoke to paypal support about this once and they couldn't understand what was going on. Obviously Grailed then give paypal a piece of the payment that they simultaneously take from you, though no way of knowing what that is, if they really give paypal the full 4.4% + 30c etc, so you may well be right edlo.

their payment model is really so bad that they can't take their 6% commission from any Paypal account that doesn't have an activate USD balance? must be costing them a tonne… if that's right then obviously i take it all back about having a usd balance as far as Grailed goes

Well the multi currency thing has never worked either so it must be related. 99% of the site users are in USA so they never bothered making that work, they must view this similarly

Paying in other currencies? I think it works now but isn't worth the hassle as Grailed doesn't tell you what they'll convert the price to in that currency - gave some guy in the UK I sold something to a price in GBP way lower than I had it listed in USD.

Obviously US centric but still I get lots of messages from people in Europe/Asia/Aus&NZ. Quite a few big resellers on there based in Asia.

Ebay>Grailed nowadays?

Hate dealing with Ebay but stuff isn't shifting anymore. Unless it's yeezys or travis scott merch.

Same experience here but now also on grailed. Selling exactly the same stuff as I used to. But things are sitting way longer, and don't get added nearly as much to people's want list.

Mmm.

Makes me piss at times. I asked for measurements on a top and was told that as it was a unique piece, measurements were meaningless. Wtf is that all about

Maybe its because its mostly people in the USA who are reluctant on paying the higher international postage costs and the risk of items go missing, its predominantly US anyway

URGENT: Your Grailed/PayPal Account Needs to be Updated

Do they even take action on this? Got a few of those by now. Paying less fees is pretty neat.
