Estate agent trying to charge us £600+ for repairs to our old flat and £200+ for removing unwanted furniture which they'd agreed to keep on from us for the next tenants! Anyone got that link someone posted for that website that fights this sorta shit?

Your deposit should be protected by the TDS - http://www.thedisputeservice.co.uk/

Edit: (TDS is one scheme, there are many, but your deposit should be protected by one of these schemes)

The Housing Act 2004 (Chapter 4, sections 212-5; & Schedule 10) made provision for both the protection of tenancy deposits and the resolution of disputes over their return. The Dispute Service has been awarded a contract by the Government to run one such scheme: The Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS).

The legislation came into effect on 6 April 2007. After that date all deposits taken for Assured Shorthold Tenancies must be protected.

I listed a shirt without checking it and when it sold n i was wrapping it, it looked in bad condition with thread pulls in a few places. I messaged the guy explaining this and said ill refund him but send it anyway in case he still wanted it and could fix it up a bit.

Item got delivered in August, and yesterday he gave negative feedback "item not delivered".

Ive sent him a photo of the receipt, and hes just replied saying he'll try to change the feedback thankfully.

I just thought it was rude really, even if the shirt didnt arrive, hes not lost anything.

You could always move to the US and enjoy having to pay for all the services you take for granted over here.

I think I should, but setting up my business in place that still uses imperial measurements would drive me more insane.

@Mr X Where you live? Must be a local thing, we've got sea views and banding hasn't changed in 6 years.

Can't see any way that can be administered fairly.
