If I see another cunt with the sides off, the slick back too and the beard I'll cut them up,

Going away for a month next week - need a haircut but the person I usually got to is on holiday. Any recommendations for north or east London? Vaguely recall people saying Danny Oh is good but no idea who to ask for there. Don't need anything fancy…

Hanz De Fuko stuff any good? Still looking for something other than Murray's to slick back medium length hair.

Anyone recommend a good water-based pomade?

Been using Layrite original / super-shine again for a few days (after using oil based for a year or so) but the finish is too matte.

Must have tried half a dozen exotic and expensive water-based pomades but keep coming back to £2.99 Black & White. It's nice to be able to wash it of but the water based ones just don't work as well.

I agree so far, while I can get the same style/shape with water-based (just using a normal brush and an afro-pick, no blowdrying) it always dries out and just isn't as shiny.

Been using JS sloane's heavy weight stuff. Not bad does go matte later in the day but I just apply a bit of water to it.

Find that hair goes crusty like cheap gel if you wet it

Everybody's hair has different levels of porosity and greasiness so even broad recommendations are of limited value imo.

You just have to try every product until you find one that works for you. Maybe we should organise a FUK Pomade Exchange

Tried Morgans high shine and Reuzel Red, both pretty awful and just like gel.
