I used what I thought was quite a lot but can tell that it hasn't got the hold that I am looking for. A slight gust of wind or humidity would totally ruin my style and convert it back to shit wig. I really need something with the hold of a firm gel - maybe just another really firm hold hairspray (will check MoBs suggestion) and one of the waxes that have been mentioned.

Looked for that rockarolla stuff but can't find anything on the net?

You need some kind of clay to style it, not wax, and the hair spray will stop it going curly when humid. Using shit loads of hair spray will make your hair rock hard and that's not the idea. Nothing is gonna stop the wind blowing your hair around unless you want that firm hold gel look

I use this on my hair daily:

http://www.loreal-paris.co.uk/styling/women/studio-line-invisi-fx/normal-strength-gel.aspx#tab:profits

put it on wet, style, let it dry solid and then ruffle out. totally eliminates frizz, no residue, good hold, soft feel.

washing my hair currently with a alternative of

http://www.loreal-paris.co.uk/haircare/women/elvive-nutri-gloss-light.aspx

and

http://www.kerastase.co.uk/_en/_gb/minisites/homme/index.aspx

capital force densifying effect.

think smell kinda strong but it smells citrus like, so its ok. mines about 5-6 inch and holds up ok in the breeze.

I use fudge mat clay to style then use the spray to hold the shape.
I blow dry first though using "small talk" by bedhed, which is a conitioner type thing. I will not be able to do that hair with out blow drying. Small talk makes it easy to dry the hair in the shape I want which again makes it easy to style.

there are tens of thousands but they're only as good as the instructions you give them. make you have a firm idea of what you want and give specific instructions. if you have a picture of what you want, or something similar, take it.

Swear by this stuff for medium to short hair. http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=loreal+ahead+clay&spell;=1&oi;=spell

Also started using this (http://www.google.co.uk/products?q=l'oreal+play+ball+density+material&aq;=f) recently. Does what it says nicely, density material. Use it for top back and sides and then the above clay in fringe (Efron esque Quiff.)

Fucking crazy hair need to see a barber soon.
Products used. bit of Lakme chalk and Schwarzkopf extra volume hairspray.

Another great Product i tested is the thickening shampoo from American Crew. Great Shampoo if you want to get maximum volume out of your hair,
