jeez. do you think theres brokers around, that have the ability to supply vast amounts and are willing to do so? all I've ever seen is kind of personal selling on a small scale, like bank transfer etc. but I gather if you were going to buy huge it would be done pretty much the same way? not like I ever could, I'm just intrigued. surprised nobody rich has been greedy enough to do so already… Or have they

I gather that there are brokers who rally customers to do so, openly admitting that they're manipulating the market because it's unregulated.

Doge coins Laughing out loud
http://www.cityam.com/blog/1387380907/wow-so-bucking-trend-very-resilience-why-dogecoin-gaining-today

News that Bitcoin has been hit by fresh regulation in China has seen millions wiped off the market capitalisation of more established currencies, but Dogecoin is currently up by over 30 per cent today.

At around $0.067 per Dogecoin, the market capitalisation of the meme-based currency stands at over $2.6m. It was created less than two weeks ago, and is already the 15th most valuable coin around (by market capitalisation)

I'm really confused by all of this.
I really don't get it. But the more I read about it the more I think it's just a pyramid scheme.

Invest $10,000 in a 3TH/s box and it makes $20,000 PCM at current difficulty and exchange rate.

not including electricity of course

money grows on trees, until the difficulty spirals out of everyones reach.

Does make you wonder why the companies sell the ASICs when they could just running the boxes themselves for profit..

Quick question: So a couple of months ago 1 Bitcoin was worth $1000. Did anyone actually manage to sell any Bitcoins for $1000 each and become a millionaire or whatever? And who the fuck was paying $1000 per Bitcoin? And why would they buy in at $1000? Are there banks/investors buying/exchanging these things?

Because now if you say to me no one bought a Bitcoin at $1000, you're essentially telling me that when they said Bitcoin was worth $1000 and all those people called themselves millionaires…well, they weren't really millionaires because there was no exchanges happening.

Pretty sure the ASIC companies are all running gigantic Bitcoin farms. When the difficulty gets too high the whole thing could be Bitcoin's undoing, versus newer ASIC-proofed currencies.

nothingelseworked - first up BTC got to nearly $1250, dropped to $650ish and it's been stable between $900-$1000 all month now; i.e. there's been opportunities to both make and lose a load of cash.

Same reason people sold pickaxes and shovels during the California Gold rush.

After the first 10-15 minutes, you should get a clear picture of what it's all about.
