Guess not, would've thought there'd be a mass of sellers at 10k but it just pushed on through.

Hey fuk-ers, I'm invested in Bitcoin and rather stupidly did it through coinbase, what's the best way to cash out theoretically, since I'm currently holding?

Open a localbitcoins account and send money there?

I'm suss of the whole verifying bank account by sending a SEPA payment thing, though I've read it's still your account, but getting hit by fees really hurts.

Thanks in advance!

I've put a few thousand into Monero (XMR) over the past couple of months. Seen a huge rise in price lately. Offers more privacy than Bitcoin.

nice, thanks for the headsup! hopefully it's competitive.

Looking to diversify and add money to iota and monero, waiting for a correct after the recent bull run.

Monero is making gains. I wonder if it's in response to the UK and EU announcing a crackdown on crypto?

These couple of fucknuts bought 100,000 bitcoins when they were $120, surely you'd cash out now before the inevitable crash.

Excuse my ignorance/assumptions, don't really know all the ins/outs of Bitcoin, but…

Would they be able to cash all that in, though? Who's going to buy it?

And if they could sell it, wouldn't their flood of bitcoins going back into the market increase supply and devalue Bitcoin as a whole? Is it not the rarity that is driving up price atm? Or is it something else?

People said it would crash at $100, then at $500, then at $1000, recently everyone said to get out at $10000 because it’s going to burst, now we’re almost at $13000.
Now I’m not saying a crash isn’t coming, but no one knows when.
If they sold now and bitcoin continues to rise, you’d be calling them numpties for selling at 13k because it’s now worth 50k.

No I wouldn't call them numpties, I'd admire them for cashing out at a cool billion so they can go and enjoy their money, they are only billionaires on paper until they cash in.

Sooner or later people will have their bitcoin funds taxed, would try and keep up to date on that. When the first legislation starts pouring in, that's probably when bitcoin will take a big hit and you want to cash out before.

Don't think it will. In the Netherlands it's taxed as any other asset, for the value it has at 1 Jan that year. E.g. if you have €100.000 in BTC on 01/01/2018 you have to pay €775 in taxes that year, so it's all good.
