Got a wedding to attend next month and need a new outfit, don't want to spend too much though - won't need a nice suit for a long time so thinking of copping this from Zara.

Thoughts?
Tried this today, not as nice in real life, got a bit of a shine off it.

Anyone had any experience of buying cloth? I'm in West Yorkshire so there are a few quality mills nearby and was wondering whether they would deal with an individual/member of the public like myself or just tell me to jog on?

at the risk of stating the obvious, depends on the size of the mill

Oh, and on a vaguely related note, this book is great

How are the Marks and Spencers Slim Fit Suits? I tried a +J suit, but the shoulders are too narrow on me.

How many suits would I need for a 5 day working week? Would 2 (1 navy 1 grey) do the trick? Assuming some kind of linen-mix suit would be best for hot weather… think I'll cook in London. Was really warm today and it's only 11 degrees here Laughing out loud

Best place for cheapish slim fit shirts (about £50 ea.)?

can't fuck with my near future suit setup: charcoal 3 button classic fit, 100% wool (have), white cotton shirts (have), conservative CDG ties (have), plain black snakeskin belt (need) and alden plaintoes. (need)

t m lewin slim fit shirts are 5 for £100 right now. have a look at their website.

2 suits is fine. invest in a good (plain black) belt and spend £££ on shoes

cheers noble & EVERS. Got a pair of black Paul Smith brogues and was thinking about some Church's. Anything else to look out for around the £250 mark? Will drop in to TM Lewin, ta.

TM Lewin shirts shrink a little, but they're a bargain.

Is there anywhere else good for formal shirts at a good price? Don't like marks and sparks shirts, want something fitted. I'm about to order some more tm lewins, so I'm wondering if there's anywhere else worth looking.

ross try barker on regent st or jermyn st, cheaper than churchs. I've a pair of formal loafers (~150) and a pair of monk straps (~250) from there.
