I was thinking a slim knitted tie in a dark red / burgundy? Lots of cheap ones on eBay. e.g.

So assuming knitted is acceptable, burgundy or dark green perhaps?

Might be a bit late but TK Maxx near me have got really lovely Ralph Lauren knitted ties, in a dark green/khaki colour, think they were £20.

I really like knitted ties in theory but hate the squared off end.

Alright cunty chops Cry

I know that's pretty common for knitted ties but just saying I don't really like the aesthetic is all. Knitted in the classic shape looks much nicer.

The classic shape for knitted ties is square ended. Looks wrong without IMO.

Picked up a 2 piece, small dog tooth check, grey suit from COS for £130 in the sale.

Not sure how often I'll wear it but biggest suit bargain I've heard of.

I have. What do you want to know?

They're nice fitting shirts for £69. Not a touch on Spencer Hart, but for £69, they can't be beaten. I only trie the penny collar and had to argue to do that in Austin Reed, they don't let you try them on for some reason.

Just tried the shirts. Didn't look at the suits. The shirt fit and quality was really good for £69. Can't comment on the suits though sorry.

A nice alternative with the same sort of texture/finish, albeit less rough, but with a pointy end would be the grenadine tie. Drake's make a really nice one. The untipped, i.e. unlined, variety is especially nice. Like this:

What brands should I be looking out for 100% wool trousers, something I can wear casually and pretty slim. Cheaper the better, and want something thats a bit thick and rough rather than classic suit trousers.
