I need to get a suit by the weekend start a new job on Monday, budget is £250, I'm looking at M&S, TM Lewin, Charles Tyrwhitt and Massimo Dutti. Anyone have any experience with any of these brands, quality, build construction, fit etc..?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I've decided it's time for me to invest in a 3 piece suit, i'm after something in tweed/herringbone any suggestions of where to look? I've searched the usual places for lower budget suits, asos, m&s, topman etc. but haven't found anything that really stood out. £300-£500 budget

Ludlow suits at J.crew are decent quality too - though unfortunately it's $=£ in the UK so a 2pc ends up at £650 and 3pc at £875. You might find something at Bicester in your price range too.
On a separate note - bought some Tyrwhitt shirts, as well as some knitted ties from The Tie Bar recently and have to say am quite impressed with both from a cost and quality perspective too.

My new SH suit is ready for me to collect now. It's only taken so long as I haven't been in to town until recently for the 2nd fit.
After that 1st disaster that was entirely down to the joker who has now left this experience has been flawless. Joe has been absolutely brilliant and has completely transformed my opinion of Spencer Hart.
I'd recommend them all day now, which really is saying something given how I felt during the entire mess that was the first suit being made.

Most stuff had a full size run. I'm a 36 and there was loads to choose from when I went.

Went for a fitting at Kent Wang today - three piece fully canvassed mtm with a number of customizable options. They're opening a showroom in London (Soho) soon, so a good option in the future.
All in cost about £650 - will see how the finished article turns out but the RTW options were excellent. Cheaper fabric options bring it down to 450-500.

Xmas party coming up, rise of facebook/instagram means can't wear the same suit AGAIN, where can I get a reasonably priced tux?
1 Dec 2013 22:55
I'd think it was weird if someone kept buying a new tux every year?!
