Any recommendations for alterations in Newcastle? Need to get a jacket taken in and trousers tapered and hemmed.

Got a silk one from m&s which was decent for £15.
You can tie it properly and then undo it via a hook at the back to save tying it again.

Suit Supply is decent for everyday business wear.

Got a few suits and can't complain for the money. Can't say anything on shirts, coats etc

if you really don't have a budget, I wouldn't settle for Suitsupply. If you want to learn the basics of bespoke tailoring, Simon Crompton's blog is seen as a good starting point, although his sense of style is dubious.

Cross posting from the shoes thread, anyone interested in a pair of these Fratelli Rossetti oxfords?

https://www.yoox.com/it/11274552IQ/item#dept=men&sts;=sr_men80&cod10;=11274552IQ&sizeId;=5&sizeName;=40

Got them off Yoox before summer for around £350, used for a month or so but unfortunately they are a touch too small.

UK9\EU43, classic shape, great quality and still in great conditions.

Looking for a quick sale so after 200£ all in shipped from Italy. If anyone is interested will take some pictures

For office folk - I got 4 pairs of trews for dirt cheap from the Jaeger outlet website. Will be great for the winter. Sadly couldn't get jackets in my size to match.

Sizes might be a bit shite now.

Need a suit for my wedding at end of August and was hoping to get a MTM with a budget of around 1.5k.

Planning on going to London in a few weeks - is there anywhere I should be looking with that kind of budget or have I got no chance? Have seen P Johnson Tailors mentioned on here before as a possibility - anywhere else people recommend?

Timothy Everest mtm might get within that budget. There is a place in Manchester that does Caruso made to measure for 1200, I imagine some others in the uk will do that also but don’t know where. Full canvas loro piana wool mtm from massimo dutti will set you back 800 or so.

Thom Sweeney starts around that price for MTM, certain fabrics will cost extra. I highly recommend paying them a visit as the product and service are excellent.

Depending on what style you're after, Steed's MTM is within range at that price, or if you want something softer Anglo Italian has more hand finishing and is a bit less fashion-forward than Patrick Johnson, but is £1700 as far as I recall.
