Skinnyman had a couple good tunes, from "Council estate of the mind" really liked Wiley's last album 100% Publishing, no dance shit, pure grime, wretch 32 B&W was decent, Akala's albums worth checking out.

Got J.cole's album other day, still undecided, loved his mixtapes, few tunes sound horrible to me, thought this dude was gonna drop a classic, has anyone heard the carter 4, can't even bring myself to even check it out, after the last shit. Listening to some DJ Quik and pharoahe monch today.

Cole was disappointing given the hype and the Hov feature is garbage. Best thing about Carter 4 is the interlude and outro with the other rappers verses

@nickball. Will check out Jhest. Heard the name but not the music. Cheers.

@MuayThaiPimp. Agreed. Council Estate of Mind is superb. The samples off Made in Britain are good but a bit overused imo. As for Grime, for the most part it doesn't click with me. I like the odd track but in general I prefer MCing on a bit more of a conscious tip.

@Strictly & Rural. Rodney P is a Don.

Some classics:

Phi-Life Cypher - BBC (Millennium Metaphors - 1999)

Skitz - Twilight Of The Gods feat Rodney P, Skinnyman, Wildflower & Riddla (Countryman - 2001)

Karl Hinds feat. Blak Twang and Seanie T – Don Gramma (Hindsight 2002)

All Lewis Parker's albums and colabs are really good.

Ty's debut album was aight, havnt checked him much since.

Yungun's albums were ok too but overall not many uk mc's that I can stomach aside from the obvious above mentioned like Blade, RP, Manuva etc.

Loads of good producer/instru albums though.

Jehst is THE starting point for me, falling down is one of my personal fave. Go through youtube videos, check who's guesting on the songs and investigate from there.
