Why, why oh why, does any dialogue around rap music always end up like this.

i don't need to defend it, i couldnt give a fuck what you or anyone else thinks, byeWow, what an incredibly immature, teenage response. Nevermind then.
If this happens everytime hip hop is discussed on this board, Loom, I'm assuming this guy is the common denominator.

Great adventures is the finest of it's kind, and at the time it was recognized for it. Doesn't fit in with what a lot of people are looking for nowadays and people see stuff like indian girl and call it corny and a joke but he is honestly incredible at what he does.
Heavy beats and raps on this. Two of my favourites

On the immortal technique and canibus thing.. I am aware of most if not all their work. I used to be big fans of both until it started grating on me.
Jayz hasn't been mentioned enough as far as I'm concerned, yeah ok, his last 3 albums have been a bit poor, but every single album up until the black album has been a classic.
Dre ain't getting enough comments too, a true pioneer of hiphop and production.

Agreed.
Indeed Shtoop, but it's just a bit of a copout to make a contentious statement like that and then when someone challenges it, rather than defending it you just say doing so is 'embarrassing'.

Just because someone hasn't mentioned his name, doesn't mean they're not fans or that they don't recognise him as a legend within hiphop. Loads of legends or people haven't been mentioned.. Ice cube for starters, eazy e.. I'm assuming everyone here listens to various artists, so no one can list every artist they're slightly interested in. i just cant believe no one on here except hi definition recognises slick rick

Apart from Reasonable Doubt which is a classic I've never really rated Jay-Z. Just don't believe what he's saying is true (not that 99% of rappers back storys aren't made up) he just sounds strange talking about drugs and killing.
Dre however is a legend, pioneered Gangster rap with NWA and 2001 is an album you can listen to over and over again without getting bored. Think Detox will ever drop?
