Any one heard swagger jacker diss to jayz? I doubt it puts his reputation or credibility on the line but still raises eye brows.

No fair enough Jordan I get you and you're right, just after I mentioned him before and got told how bad he is
Everyone making a complete list would kill this thread too
Wish detox would drop, a read ages ago he had like a hundred songs recorded or something, and a zillion names have been mentioned saying they're on it, including a few stinkers iirc
The only thing I've heard from jay-z I really liekd was the grey album, need to give reasonable doubt a good listening to though.

Detox won't drop, no
at least I highly doubt, if it does it won't be an official dre album, more like a collection of artists he works with, eminem, fiddy game etc, along with himself ofcourse!
The thing with jayz, he never really went for the grimy thug gangster image, he always tried to portray he was a bigger part in it all, and was a step up from the corner sellers
at the end of the day, everyone has different tastes, and no one can possibly have given every artist enough chance to make up a good opinion on their work. You can be put off artists instantly, from just one track or a 10sec snippet of a track. Especially in music, people will always deny that they like more mainstream artists, an instead mention their more favourite 'underground' artists, hence why 50 cent hasn't been mentioned, yet get rich or die trying was an instant classic. No mentions for eminem too, because no one wants to be associated with his commercial whiney voice stage, whereas his first album infinite would make any 'true' or 'underground' fan cream in their CKs

Ah, I'm a fair bit past the whole thing of not wanting to be associated with ____, nowadays.
Jay-Z's still one of my favourite rappers. I've liked the majority of his albums, for the most part. They've all had good songs, and some bad ones, but I can at least understand the reasons behind a lot of what he puts on the records. He's a smart man.
I don't really like Eminem anymore, just because of that fucking voice he raps in now. His voice changed around the time of The Eminem Show, and has never returned to normal, and I just find it near unlistenable. But Infinite wasn't a good album either. He was obviously a talented rapper, just very amateur and hadn't refined his style yet. I'd say the best representation of his talent was the stuff he did around the Slim Shady EP/LP days. Phenomenal talent, pretty much gone to waste though.

eminem is a genius i reckon, one of the sickest rappers about still.
For me wu tang clan is still consistantly gold for me and can always go back and listen to 36 chambers time and time again.
been no love for modern hiphop though, i personally think kid cudis mixtape then album were both great. still listen to them a lot.
also i know its at the other end of the hip hop spectrum to wu tang etc but asher roths album has some good tracks on it, really like this:

Thanks for that video, never seen that. The definitive recent Eminem freestyle video though:

Watch the whole thing. Premier on the breaks, Mos Def rips it, Black Thought is nice, Eminem just destroys the whole thing. When he's on like that, there just isn't a rapper on his level.

There's quite a few clips on youtube of eminem at scribble jams, inlcuding one where he droped the 'you ain't gonna sell 2 copies if you press a double album' line found on slim shady lp. So good, that above is awesome, rhymning so many parts of a line
I did this with asher roth, and I will never take it back.
