Hi there,
Please can anyone enlighten me as to what an amateur model would charge for a 4 hour shoot. Is there any rule of thumb for this. I need to hire one and I really don't want to take the p**s.
Thanks

As in not with an agency?

Yes, exactly, not with an agency. It's not that I'm against agencies but a girl with the perfect fit has approached me and I want to be fair but I'm totally inexperienced in the field of hiring models.

It depends what the work is for. In a situation like this you wouldnt pay her anything just let her keep some of the final shots for her portfolio - a serious wannabe model would bite your hand off for this, especially one not with an agency.
Then if you wanna be a nice guy just slip her £100 if she does a good job.

For £100 and a bit of prang, she'll probably blow you too like that chick in Nathan Barley.

Depends if you expect her to do A2M or not.

I've done a few non agency stuff, but it wasn't a shoot, just catwalk and stage stuff. Paid alright. £125 for a days work, and another £75 to go to the after party, so £100 for 4 hours sounds about right.

The form you fill out is very simple, it only needs to be.
That one posted is fine

That's agencies for you, I did include 2 other models in the shoot who were happy with just free products and some portfolio shots so it evened out a bit.
