if it's a new-ish Mac look for a blue circle with a magnifying glass in the top right of the screen. click on it and type in Messenger, it'll show you where it is on the computer

Install windows onto it.

If she's got Microsoft Office it could be in that folder in Applications. Comes bundled see.

go up to the top of the screen and click on the blue apple in the top left corner, go down to Dock, and click on Dock Preferences (and make sure Automatically Hide and Show Dock is ticked - that way it will appear when you move the cursor down to the bottom of the screen, and disappear when you move the cursor up)
while you're up there, drop down to About This Mac and tell us what version of the operating system you're using

ok, 10.3 doesn't have Spotlight (the all-singing all-dancing search bar) so try this
Click on Finder in the dock (far left icon) the go up to the menu bar and click on File and drop down to Find
Choose Specific Places from the "Search in" pop-up menu
Click Add (+) and select the folder where you want to search. In the list of places, deselect disks or other folders you do not want to search. Make sure you've got the Applications folder selected as it's more than likely in there somewhere. Type in Messenger or MSN and click Search

Did anyone else keep ejecting the disc when trying to delete whilst going through the change?! Very annoying, makes a bit of a racket doesn't it!
19 Aug 2006 23:37
nae bother. you can always download a copy as Brad says above
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/default.aspx?pid=msnmessengerI didn't have any trouble with ejecting / deleting, the one that got me when I went through the change (no sex changeo) years ago was the @ and " buttons being switched around. whenever I go on a PC now I still have to think where they are
just PM me if you need any more help - what model is it you've got?

Couple of Q's….
1. Is there a way of turning on autofill in safari?
2. Where do things automatically save to? I downloaded ad used MSN yesterday, now when I follow the above help on how to find it all that is found are chat logs….?? Same with Azueres, was using it last night, now the actual programme is nowhere to be found, only files associated with it (read me's etc.) come up when I search in finder

3. Can I customise what programmes are on the dock?
4. How do you delete shortcuts from the desktop without deleting the actual programme?!
Beginning to wish I stuck with PC's

1) yes its in preferences for safari
2)this is also set in preferences for safari, i think the default is in documents
3)yes just drag and drop what you want on to it
4)sounds like you might be installing the progam onto you desktop rather than into the applications folder and then deleting it make shure its in the applications folder and then just add it to you dock.
