Don't know much about the secondhand market, but you can often buy the previous model for a few hundred quid less than the current model if that's any help?

Yea, use a torrent client like Transmission, then add the torrent 6GB torrent file,,but only select the files you want to download..that way you wont download anything you dont need/want…

Bueller? wrote: Is it possible to download just Illustrator for the mac?

I have looked for torrents for a recent version, but can only find it as part of the CS4 package, which is 6gig in size and my connection is too slow to deal with that.

Am I missing something or is it not available as a stand alone program?

You can download it from adobe and then crack it using a terminal script. I did that with PS4 & DW4.
I used a file written by codetempest on mininova - Adobe Master Collection CS4 - [KEYGEN + ACTIVATION KRACK] [MAC] [CodeTempest]

yeah handbrake.

you just need a copy of windows on disc and just run the bootcamp assitant in os x (does everythin step by step). then when she wants to choose between os x and windows, she just has to hold down the option key when the mac is turned on.

you can download the windows 7 release candidate for free at the moment (then burn the file you download with disk utility onto a dvd). think it lasts until june next year but by then i think you'll only have to pay a one off fee and download an update to get the final retail version.

or if youve got xp or vista lying about then those are ok as well.

Don't know, I downloaded the beta when it came out and it kept crashing so I re-installed 3. I think it's just a more stable version of 4.
