No, RAM is just the memory that allows the computer "space" to carry out tasks, it's completely unconnected to your hard drive where the actual information is stored.

I wouldnt worry too much about that, unless you have any dodgy software or apps?

I don't as I find them intrusive and also slows your computer down. Statistically Mac owners tend to be more vigilant when it comes to this sort of thing over our PC counterparts, but doesn't mean you can be complacent.
If you have Windows running on your Mac get one, a PC virus can affect your Mac partition too or can be passed on through emails etc. AVG is a very good and free!
Had £600 quid stolen from my bank account and been told it could be down to my details being unsafe on my laptop, i'm usually pretty careful with this kind of stuff but could it be something i've downloaded onto my mac going within the laptop and stealing the info? Or am i just being paranoid?

The camera on my Macbook isn't working, on Ichat it says 'there is no camera attached to this computer' and photo booth just comes up with all the option blanked out and an icon with a slash through the camera.
Any idea what I can do to try and find the problem? I don't know where to start.

I have a MacBook Air, was wondering if they are well thought of by others, it's just i'm thinking of trading it in for a MacBook Pro plus cash.

Do people generally use anti-virus protection on their macs or is it not necessary ?
