Ah cool didnt think about Flipboard on the Android. I was comparing iPad - Computers though, and for anything outside my iMac at home, theres nothing that can take my iPad away
Plexstuff, the Apps, the stability and the whole ecosystem with my iPhone and the iMac makes it something i cant live without.
Btw, we asked our boss at work about our conferenceroom , which is equipped with a projector and a appletv, if we could stay after work and watch the live keynote today.. He gave us free beers and money for snacks, and permission to use the shop the rest of the night for after work
(i work at an apple retailer)
On another note, i want the new iMac :p

But now a £250 mini seems like a great little gadget that I can take anywhere with me and not really worry about smashing.
Seems perfect for bridging the gap for when you travel but in the end don't take your laptop as it weighs too much and all you are doing is checking emails/surfing anyway. Never seen the need for an iPad, so never got one.
I pony up for a ipad 3 if i had too, the Retina screen is lush and it also has a better cpu.

Upgrading my MacBook and iphone at the moment do not sure I want to/need to.
Plus the mini has same CPU as iPad 3 just not the 4 right?
Flipboard is also on Android but the wider point about the app selection is true, I have a Nexus 7 and mostly just use Flipboard and Pulse News on it for blogs, not much else though.

Genuinely not sure what I'd do without my iPad. It's proper lazy but it's nice to just be able to take it anywhere hassle free, even just round the house. I don't have a laptop/MacBook/iMac though and it is a fucking pain having to go to the library every time I need to do even the slightest bit of work. It's not a replacement for any of the above mentioned as said, I'm gonna get an iMac as soon as I have a penny to my name.
Should note that my laptop had died and I was going to replace it but was in town in a foul, foul mood and walked past the Apple store on Regent Street so thought fuck it and bought one. I didn't think it could replace a desktop computer and did regret it for a while but I'm so glad I've got one now. Was mildly fun when the always cheery shop staff asked if I was getting it for photography or art, travel blah blah blah etc and I just said "I don't know just give me one and let me leave" before storming off.
