emiserry wrote: Pretty happy with my 13 mbp, got it last year in june. I swapped out my hdd with a 250GBP ssd one. No performance issues whatsoever. All my music/video/pictures are stored on a portable hdd. This won't work nice with your itunes as those songs need to be stored on your mac.

Move the itunes library to the external HDD, start itunes and hold ALT at the same time, choose the library on the HDD. Done. The itunes song doesnt need to be stored internaly.

How likely is it to get a Genius Bar appointment by just turning up at one of the London apple stores on the day?

Just have to hope someone doesn't turn up for their appointment…I had to wait about around for an hour but managed to sneak in (no family motto)

Got fed up waiting for new MBP (non-retina) so installed an SSD drive, to get me by until the next release, can't recommend it highly enough! Just cloned my old hdd but it's like a totally new system.

what app can i use on mac to record what appears on my screen? thought i opened up a standard program recently which had this ability but cant recall which it was.

recording a stream from a on line training course, i know the page it's hosted on has all sorts of tracking type stuff. is there anyway that the provider would know i'm recording off the stream ? assuming i do it with some sort of a recording app which is on my mac rather than web based.

thanks

the trackpad on my MBP just stopped clicking, its seems stuck like there is something under it. I've managed to get it working a bit, but still not right. Is there away to access whats behind and clean it?

its under the battery

you need a tri-wing screw driver to take out the battery

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRI-WING-SCREWDRIVER-REPAIR-for-DS-LITE-Nintendo-Wii-/200533638568?pt=UK_VideoGames_VideoGameAccessories_VideoGameAccessories_JN&hash;=item2eb0bc7da8

once the battery is out. give the screw securing the trackpad a 1/4 turn, its usually enough to get it clicking like new
