Wouldn't recommend anyone buy the new macbook pro right now

I'm going to be returning mine this week because of all the freezing issues (which seem to be a widespread problem with both the 13" and 15")

Absolute joke that this issue wasn't picked up before release

Is there anywhere I can buy a third party or second hand Macbook charger from in a store? Left mine at work again, and can't be dealing with paying £65 at the Apple Store.

anyone know where you can find out the prices of a mbp or even an iphone for the malayan market? Boss is going to Malaysia in a couple of weeks and wondering how much he could pick me up some stuff for.

Says start up disk is full, but cant seem to find much to delete ! only got 250GB. Half is saved stuff, the other half, fuck knows what it is. Used omni disk sweeper, and that only seems to show the 1/2 i know about. Where might the other 130 GB be saved or taken up ?

Try going through these suggestions to free up space: http://guides.macrumors.com/Freeing_Up_Hard_Disk_Space

You could download a disk space visualiser (e.g. http://www.derlien.com) to try and see what's taking up what space.

Have you got much in your Downloads folder?

Nope, cleared it down to 30gb, I'll check those suggestions though, thanks.

anyone having issues with trackpads on older intel macbook pros since mavericks - can't use mine now, selects everything and freezes?

Not that hard. Get the drive and proper tools, choose the right guide for your air and go trough it. Beware of static electricity and such.

Seems to be a common problem, an update should be around for that soon.

Has this freezing problem on new rMBP been fixed with the software update they put out a few days after release?

few weeks after release more like

and no, it hasn't stopped the freezes for everyone

seems like there isn't a single device from the latest launch that doesn't have some sort of issue

in the past month I've bought and returned a 13" rMBP due to the freezing issue, a15" rMBP due to yellow tint on screen (screen also failed burn in test) and an iPad Air due to a dodgy tinted screen (replacement had exactly the same issue)
