Got Tomb Raider (Steam version) the other day on the Square Enix website for £3.37 (gone up a bit now):

First game I've gotten for well over a year but impressed how good it looks on my nearly 4 year old MBP (actual SS below). Plays surprisingly well too, a bit like Uncharted.

Would recommend.

I've stupidly closed my MacBook with the charger cable somehow getting inside. It's broke the screen. Not cracked it but broken an inch line across of pixels. You can see that something has damaged the screen with a small scratch on the glass.

What do you think apple would say if I took it in? I have the extended AppleCare on a student deal?
I honestly don't think it should break that easy. I didn't slam it shut, drop it etc etc.
I should imagine a 15" retina will be £600 to replace?
It's only 2 months old.

^ does no one have any experience if this then?

I have an appointment tomorrow and am thinking of claiming I have no idea how it has broken.
There isn't actually a scratch on the screen, but that damage in the corner is obviously where the crack has happened.

claim ignorance is always the best bet. retina screen will be pricey though Cry

orrrr get insurance, then claim in 4 weeks time and do not go to the apple store

That's a crack where the wavy line is separating black and white, they won't fix that because it's obvious it's been caused by some force. I had the same thing

im in two minds, if i fess up and say that i closed the charger lead in it, surely this would make the product not fit for purpose?

Mine was on my old macbook air and they wanted £500+ so I just decided to buy a new macbook air and sell the broken one as parts.
