Anyone getting rid of their macbook pro or macbook air 13" please?

I've stupidly closed my MacBook with the charger cable somehow getting inside. It's broke the screen. Not cracked it but broken an inch line across of pixels. You can see that something has damaged the screen with a small scratch on the glass.
What do you think apple would say if I took it in? I have the extended AppleCare on a student deal?
I honestly don't think it should break that easy. I didn't slam it shut, drop it etc etc.
I should imagine a 15" retina will be £600 to replace?
It's only 2 months old.

That's a crack where the wavy line is separating black and white, they won't fix that because it's obvious it's been caused by some force. I had the same thing

im in two minds, if i fess up and say that i closed the charger lead in it, surely this would make the product not fit for purpose?

Yea, good luck with that argument.

so are you saying its a complete no go?
how much was yours to replace?

Get a bird to take it in, more chance of success.

Mine was on my old macbook air and they wanted £500+ so I just decided to buy a new macbook air and sell the broken one as parts.
