downloaded yosemite, fuk knows why and all of a sudden cant use miscrosoft office for mac. (only really use word for personal use) telling me i cant edit documents. whenever I open word it requires me to enter the microsoft purchase product key. I bought microsoft office legitimately but don't know what my product key is/no longer have a paper trail. hoping i can just call up microsoft and they will tell me what it is after answering some security questions. anyone else had this problem? i've got two options it seems, uninstall yosemite or get microsoft to give me the product key.

Do not download yosemite! Evil

if i sold my old macbook, and took out the hard drive and put it in an enclosure, when i connect it to my new macbook should i be able to access everything that was on my old computer using it as an external hard drive? seems like iv lost all my documents and pictures etc and not really kept much on that drive. any ideas? am i missing something obvious?

There should be a way to boot from that harddrive directly, if you can the data should be accessible there…Then copy it over?
not ideal, but at least you won't have lost your data

"Restart the computer and and boot up ( system chime) hold the 'option' key until you see the selection of disks

Of course you have to have an OS installed on the other disks"

I've got a 2008 copy I can post to you mate?

Also, recently bought an ipdo shuffle for the gym/running.
Used it for the first time and noticed it wasn't very loud. My brother also has an ipod shuffle, which is louder than mine.
Both have the volume restriction taken off via iTunes.
Any other ideas?

I have 2 shuffles and they are fine. You sure your headphones are alright?

Definitely are fine, tried with three different iPods and they worked fine on them, just not on mine.

Un-installing Yosemite is an absolute pain in the balls. I would go to Microsoft if you bought it directly from them.

Uninstalled yosemite for a friend last week, stuck a bootable image of an earlier o/s on a USB and just wiped it.

Easy to get an earlier o/s, just go to app store > downloads, sure to be one in there.

Seem to be pretty major problems with yosemite……
