Missus replaced the screen of her 6 by herself buying a kit on Amazon and following a Youtube tutorial…i wasn't there, and it never happened to me, but if she managed that hasn't to be an impossible task…

I replaced a screen once, fairly straightforward to do with the youtube tutorial but it is fiddly with the small screws etc

Not even going to try and do it myself TBH.
I would definitely end up losing a crucial part/screw or smashing the entire phone in rage.

Anyone got any Macbook Case recommendations, recently dropped my Macbook Pro and need to get some protection, luckily it was just a small dent.

Had the same, Thule gauntlet, for 15 inch mbp. Zipper was fucked within the year. Don't know what your plans are but you can't really use it with the case on. It'll roast your laptop.

Thanks mate. I got an A graded refurbished Pro LTE for £600 from Argos eBay store with the discount code.

Worth checking it out if anyone is after one saved £340 or so.

I spilled a drink on my 2014 mbp 15” a few days ago and the cheapest quote for repair I’ve had is £1,450 for replacement of these two parts (far pricier here than UK I think). Everything else on it is working but there’s some oxidation on some connector on these parts.

Does anyone know how much roughly these repairs costs (not from Apple) in the UK, and can I just buy these parts used and give to somebody who can do it and not bend me over for the costs of repair? I want to keep this as a spare computer.

Secondly does anyone know of any deals or discounts at all for the 16” mbp in UK?
