There is a huge fire type thing in the middle and when the weather's nice they're going to do things like hog roast. My girlfriend went on saturday and had some food which she said was really nice, they do snacks like roasted vegetables ad then main meals like lobster and stuff, definitely going to try the food there.
They are going to have 17 hotel room in the building and when it gets sunny the terrace will be rammed, I just hope the hotel guests don't get priority, which they probably will, as they'll be no chance of getting up there in the summer. The staff are really nice as well.

As a cinema it's cool, bit like the Curzon's in that they have a bar, you can have a beer during the film etc Never been to a night there though so not sure what the other spaces are like, they have a huge screen which they sometimes show football on, was pretty lively during the world-cup apparenlty

There is a night at the Shacklewell arms tonight called Bad Passion, sounds like it's going to be pretty decent - I was reminded that it was on when the guy that models for oki-ni gave me flyer today outside the cat and mutton on broadway market

anyone been to the boundary rooftop yet? looks topper
Yeah I went yesterday, it opened on Saturday. Really really cool up there, £2.50 cover charge per person to sit up there but that includes as much mineral water as you like so not too bad. They have blankets and loads of heaters so you can stay up there until late, it's open until 9pm this month and then from May until 11pm every night. was in one of the strippers places on the weekend for our football club do. All of a sudden it turned into a rockabilly venue. surreal.
edit - a quick google has told me (predictably), it was the Axe

What's Andrew Edmonds? Have you been to Hawksmoor?
No what kind of food is it? I have been to the St.John in Archway but not the spitalfields one. Andrew Edmonds is in soho on Beak Street http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/23.html - we should have a restaurant thread
