Whats shoreditch etc to live like on a daily basis? or the surrounding areas. need to be able to get into the city within 20-30 mins max no more so what other options are there?
in my opinion it's a nice place to live if you need to commute to central. it really depends on how old you are though. on a day to day basis it's got a really nice vibe with really good places to eat/drink. as stated on weekends it does get a little shit with all the people that descend upon the place.
also it's pretty safe imo i never see any rudeboys around these ends.
it's definitely better than somewhere north central like holloway and camden though.x

it will be monday to friday as most weekends i'll end up coming back home
budget would be a max upto £1k p/wk but ideally less. was thinking of buying a place and keeping it on past my term but you dont get much for your money.
i just need somewhere in the evenings that is nearby, has decent places to eat a few times in the week and i dont need any real hassle from local baddermans. wont be till the summer so have time.
guess im just too used to living in a nice middle class area

Have a look here:
http://www.carringtonuk.com/ tend to have some nice places in that area - i'd avoid brick lane and surrounding roads as it gets tiresome on the weekends walking past empty noodle packets, sick and curry. Shame because some of the house on Hanbury Street etc are amazing.

for that budget you will have the pick of the bunch in shoreditch but you won't get any rest in the evenings cos it's lively.
if you want it quieter, look at wapping but what is important is if you want parking, as this can be difficult so close in.
clapham is only 20 mins on the tube but it's full of middle class full of shit idiots on the whole.
if you want a swanky pad, docklands is where it's at - you will come to work on the DLR.

Here is another decent place for East London/City
http://www.m2pm.com/index.php I got my flat in Bethnal Green through them, was in a gated development on the brick lane end of bethnal green road

If you're going to drop £1k PW, not planning on being around at weekends and planning on eating out most nights then why not just live in a hotel? £200 a night will get you somewhere nice with a decent breakfast laid on. Ideal if you're working long hours with room service, dry cleaning, on site gym etc.

Would second Wapping if he's got the big budget. East London Line back next year to which means the commute would be piece of piss from wapping to Shoreditch in 5 minutes.

bun living in shoreditch imo, its good for nights out and visiting but unless your a trendy fashion student there are miles nicer places to live. A grand a month will get you fuck all aswell so don't expect much - as previously said check Islington

I was well depressed when i got the bullet but after a month of getting my head together realised that it was the best thing that could have happened. Rather than wait and hope to get onto a directorship programme/work for someone else, do it for yourself. Also i was really lucky that i had made some decent contacts through the years plus using the ones that my parents have introduced to me. Guess it really is 'who you know, not what you know'.
That one bedder looks wicked but way too much space for myself alone.
I have thought of doing the hotel thing and will look at that, it does make good sense. It will be upto £1k p/wk as the contract allows it to be but want it to be less so i have more spending money. It means staying away from the bird which is a hardship though

£1k p/wk is nowhere being topper having looked at some of the rentals wanted by estate agents in the past few weeks.
