not good to see, but, opening a shop with no cameras and no insurance will face these consequences imo.

The kids valuing his stock at 80k but didn’t have a £’s worth of insurance.

Yeah something isn’t adding up, it right in the middle of town aswell which would have plenty of cameras and would require at least one decent sized van. Guess a few stuff popping up on eBay amongst other places

What a shame. Can't blame the founders wanting to (presumably) get out with a few quid though. Hopefully the jobs are OK.

Pretty shit news, Wellgosh especially as I’ve shopped from them since the early 90’s and they have always been spot on in store and online.

Presumably JD will centralise their warehouse operation for these 2 like they’ve done with HIP meaning customer service is beyond shite (makes Mike Ashley’s look like a slick operation).

I very much doubt they got a few quid out of it. Would have been necessary for the business to survive

From what I gather, the original owners of Oi Polloi still have shares in the business so I would imagine it will be them running it.

I think it’s a similar deal with Hip too - I’m sure Everton who founded it still has shares in it/runs it (to a certain extent anyway)
