Seenmy - like the kitchen a lot. What is the wood?
Might try and post a photo of mine. Don't post much on here but do like the interior thread.

nice wolfie,who made it?
ours is solid oak work top and the paneling on front of doors and then a oak veneered ply for the actual units,

Cheers, guys.
It is just a local carpenter who we have used for the past few years. He is technically very good but the design was done by the missus. He needed a lot of hand holding but worth it in the end.
The oak looks great. Ours is all ash (the doors are stained black). It is quite light in colour close up.

good work wolfie - like the tiles and the design looks fairly reasonably achievable

The tiles are actually the original glazed bricks that we stripped back. The building is a converted Edwardian school. Those bricks are in every room up to about six feet.

never liked big white kitchens like whats in fashion now, and always liked the mission brown claustrophobic kitchens I grew up with in the 80s. they had a warm feeling about them, good to see some people moving back to that kind of feeling.

Russ: IMO I don't find it that good for lounging around on. It is better for sitting on if that makes sense. It does look good though.
