Thanks, about 10% of the garden is a mess at the moment. A lot of heavy planting going on down one side etc but it'll look really nice this time next year. You can't see from the pics, but either side of the bench/stone area are new lavenders which will grow into a nice hedge either side.

Pops, your house is coming along very nice! Would love to have a project like that one day.

Regarding the Dieter Rams fandom, I found out some interesting information that paints him in a very unfavourable light recently! Undeniably a talented designer though.

We've had a small Braun exhibition at Walter Knoll in Barbican where I work on going for a while now. If anyone is interested feel free to pop in.

Thought I'd share my very unfinished website that shows some of my design work http://www.davidsearcy.com/

I'm still figuring out how to edit the site hence the lack of info/text but if anyone is interested I could explain the projects.

Please don't confuse for self promotion as non of the items are for sale or anything, they're all just 1:1 scale models. Genuinely just interested in peoples opinions outside the educational bubble. I only really have the website as I set it up whilst I was still at uni.

Hahaha, pretty much.

No apparently a lot of the work he is credited for isn't actually his. He used to take credit for it and hide/remove publications etc. from the other Ulm school designers so they wouldn't find out. I think Braun didn't mind so much as it worked for marketing reasons. Plus he shagged many of their wives. Not the greatest guy by the sounds of it.

Does anyone know a store that send Herman Miller internationally?
I am looking to buy an ETR table from the US(new) but the only store that sells Herman internationnaly that I am aware of(circa50) cannot ship this table to Switzerland…
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't bother with circa 50 anyway terrible service.
I doubt you'll find anyone, shipping to the Eu would be a breach of contract

Anyone know before I start ringing round how much I should be looking at for an extractor fan fitting to an (exterior) bathroom wall?

It depends on what's involved, namely how easy it is for them to route the cable to power the fan.

If it is linked to the light switch and can be easily installed (i.e you are not on the 10th floor of a block) then you should be looking at under £100 for a small one installed. Depends if your spark is doing just that or if you have other jobs. I tend to get a days worth of electrical jobs together and then it works out a bit cheaper usually.

Got to get the hole in the wall and wire it to the light cabling. Could go in the window pane but I'd rather it was higher up (directly above window). It's on the 1st floor.

I presume they can get into the electricity at the ceiling light. There's no tiling from the ceiling down to where the fan would be and all the non-tiled sections of wall need stripping and painting anyway. But it's obviously a job. I thought the hole would be the worst of it.
