Its a lot cheaper and faster to do, reckon itll become more common soon.

Timber frame has fantastic u values making it warmer in winter and cooler in summer so ideal for polish weather but also here to a lesser extent as we don't always get extremes.
Either way it's definitely more environment friendly and allows unlimited shapes and designs without the same issues as block work
It's also half the price so I'm at a loss as why we don't use it loads more

After some pendants to go above a dining table, three in a row? Any ideas? Looks at loads and nothing stands out.

today's side project, made with leftover scraps:

These are two of my remote controls. On the right is a primitive pressure touchscreen universal. Sony of course. From 1998. Check the fully functional EL backlight Cool My theme for my place is "rich guy in 1998", coz I can't afford to be "rich guy in 2015"…

Anywhere in the UK to get a modernica rocker apart from SCP? They don't have the colour I want and the wait is 12-14 weeks

Cheers, needs a polish but I do like rosewood Vodder stuff. That sofa looks comfy, I need a new one soon as my Wegner AP34 is getting a bit tired these days. Ideally needs a retrim but £££.

The wait for almost anything Modernica or Herman Miller here is 8-12 weeks. It's worth the wait. Just wait and get what you want if no one else stocks.

Windows were a total ball ache
Long story short if you want aluminium windows almost everyone gets them from smartUK
They fabricate the profiles and then smaller companies will make them into shape and fit the glass in
Smart supply most of the market and have long lead times
I got screwed using a middle man so best bet is to go direct or use a supplier with a good contact at smart
Not cheap either and to be honest apart from picking my own RAL colour I'm not sure of the value over uPVC
Can anyone shed some light?
If you want 7016 grey which everyone has most people keep the profiles in stock but I wanted a specific colour so it took ages
