IKEA's take on the Jielde desk lamp, Forså, is cheap as chips at £16.


If you can stomach purchasing an outright replica I think there are affordable fakes of one of my personal favourites out there on the net. Arne Jacobsen's iconic desk lamp which he designed in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen.

Looking for something along the lines of this

If you have a really really small one beedroom apartment, put two chairs in the middle of the room effectively taking up all the floor space, that way you can entertain a friend with interesting conversation (however watching tv with that same friend will require some re-arranging of the chairs).

I imagine the bed acts as a sofa when all the lads are over to watch the footy..
