I presume with the amount of drop (even when 'up') it'll takeaway a lot of light from the room? I need to measure up properly..

Dee- didn't even realise they could be fitted the other way, you do mean so they stack at bottom right? edit; got it, bottom-up blinds.

They pull up and down, you can control the light depending on time of day, like half a shutter you can have privacy and retain natural light but also adapt them to where the sun is. Maybe an option for slim windows?

This kind of thing.

I believe Herman Miller offer a white base on new tables, but I can't say I've seen a vintage one before.

Shame, I can't comment on the build quality but they look great & Naoto Fukasawa is one of the most influential designers in the world right now.

Coincidently I've just ordered a set of oak Hiroshima chairs designed by him. Eye wateringly expensive for dining chairs but future design classics imo. They also have a set of them in the Regent St Apple boardroom so if they're good enough for Jonny Ive to sit on Ubercool

Those chairs are lovely pops

I had a look at the toaster and kettle in Muji abit back, they look great in pics but I wasn't overly impressed in the flesh, they where pretty cheap though
