Loft conversion coming on, it sort of has come home. What a waste of a match tonight, the rams first pre season friendly win against notts county more important.

Anyone painted their own gaff ? My mrs remains she can save us 6 gran and paint the downstairs herself. She has a fine art background but that’s like a vet saying he can do heart surgery no ?

It’s not really hard to do the painting yourself, just fucking long.
My wife is doing the painting herself in our gaff, if I had to do it I’d rather pay someone else but she seems to quite like doing it.

Ta. She would farther have a Chanel bag and do it. She is at home looking after the nipper so should be ok I guess.

Piecr of piss to paint your own place, just the cutting in takes the most time. Get yourself some painters tape to ensure decent, crisp edges at wall/ceiling and skirting.

Incorrect - hence why a lot of people’s gaffs look like shit

Just gone through several rolls of this, worked reasonably well, also tried the delicate version around a door frame which didn't do so well. If you take your time then I reckon standard masking tape would work just as good. DIY ok but find it takes ages if juggling work, esp if a lot of prep needed.

Been renovating our 16th century cottage for the last 9 months. Still a lot to do but we're getting there. Some pics of the kitchen/dining area before and after (finished that in Feb so the pics are a bit out of date). No kitchen over Christmas with kids - not doing it again Eye-wink

Looks great, Nick.

What's the story with the chair in the alcove - lovely piece of furniture.
