Anywhere in Hackney/East/North London to check out wooden flooring (actual or engineered, unsure)? Need a fitter too.

Got a fireplace that the previous owner has filled up part the way with decorative logs. Think it looks a bit shit, needs some more logs i reckon. Where's good for uniform logs?

Europe seems to have shittier, more expensive versions of a lot things. You guys must be lookin forward to getting out of that shithole.

I like my Eames made in Michigan by well fed Americans.

Well I live in a fucking country called Australia, and I still get my shit from Michigan. Once you're out of that shitty deal called the EU your furniture stores will be able to freely import the real deal.

Any plans to move back to Japan? Seems they are a little more friendly to foreign workers now.

I respect you, you're a decent dude. So I'll answer

the .gov over there has always been friendly to foreign workers. Any dumbass with a degree could go over and work.

The people tho? I noticed a lot more hostility to foreigners in Tokyo last time I was back.

fuck Japan, Australia is fucked up with the worst governments in memory but I gotta keep fighting the culture war here for my own country, try to make it better. eg the carry on about womans day yesterday at work was OTT even tho in 2019 Australia women have literally no disadvantages, only advantages. The way the women put down men all day and the pathetic virtue signalling men who patronise successful women by saying how professional they are and what good leaders they are (for women) is sickening. I keep quiet and on November 19 I'm going to go full on about Mens Day, list all the statistics were men lose.

You know, when you live in Japan, you're reminded every day you're a guest, you're different and even if you get citizenship, you'll NEVER be accepted as an equal. I couldn't live with that.

Jake Unkutt knows what I'm talking about, he tried and tried longer than me but in the end Japan won. Japan is happy we went home, I'm happy too.

Also I can earn more here than in Japan, I just got put in charge of training for two new guys, pretty soon I might have my own data entry team and I might get made permanent? I'm not going to throw away 8 years of brand building I've put in here. I'll just import the parts of Japan I like. Also the .mil archives couldn't go with me so I stay.

After a coffee mug for work, quite like the below but can't justify £47 (delivered), anyone seen anything decent for non-comedy price?
