I’ve used all of the above before. Bert and May are really good and have a refurb/discount section where you can usually pic up a decent deal. All of the above are encaustic tiles which means all handmade. The thing with the high street tile companies are that they are digitally printed and therefore you end up with repeated sections. Hand painted just means they’ll all individual. If you speak to Popham and Marrakech they let you go to Marrakech and watch your tiles being painted Cool

Any alternatives to Bert and May, the reviews on Google, Facebook, etc. are a little worrying. Or is it more of the fact people aren't aware of what they're actually buying… Unfortunately, Popham and Marrakech are a little too inaccessible for us.

Strangely enough I picked up my Bert and May tiles last week. Basically if you’re ordering to fit into a projected schedule it’s unlikely they’ll arrive on time. If you’re happy to wait (ours took over 2 months) then I’d say it’s worth it. Just don’t book a tiler for the delivery date.

Any Yorkshire based folk it’s worth noting they have a salvage yard out near wetherby if you wanted some reclaimed or end of line tiles on the cheap

Encaustic tiles aren't painted, they are made in a way that the pattern runs through the top layer of the tile so as they wear down the pattern and colour remain. Unlike printed ceramic which will rub off eventually.
Artisans of Devizes do reasonable priced encaustic tiles https://artisansofdevizes.com
I nearly baught some myself but went with reproduction victorian tiles instead.

Looking for a black fibreglass Eames or Herman Miller rocking chair. Any sites I should look out for one of these on? One was on the Bay a while back and I stupidly slept on it and missed it. Haven't seen one come up since.

Got some vitra corniches in white, large and medium, brand new. I’ve never got round to sticking them up so might let them go if anyone is interested?

Vitra are reissuing the fiberglass chairs (you can ask to buy the rocking feet separately from Vitra)

recliner recommendations? American, British, Australian or Japanese, preferably leather. Not Eames recliner, it's too short for me.

I saw this earlier this year but didn't realise that was an option to buy part separately. However, it seems you can only order the side chair base at the moment.

Have you looked at the tall variant of the Eames? I’m 6’3 and it is fine for me.

Ask a retailer, I am sure you can buy the Shell itself and the rocking feet separately.
I did that in the past with another model.
