Sonys doing something like that, seems like the zeitgeist but that thing above confirms why I hate Ikea. Damn that's crafty and shitty looking. try dusting it.

Sonys shit isn't much better, it's that rustic style. Pointless shit designed for women.

monocle guide to cozy homes or 1-2 apartamento mags would make a nice gift. all the other books i know are too specific to gift them.

It’s not German. Established in NYC when he emigrated in the late ‘30’s. You may be confusing with his fathers company Walter Knoll.

I’m waiting to buy one of these (hopefully) in jan sales unless I can blag a discount before then.

I got gifted The Best Of Beams At Home Live Small Live Modern when I moved into my new place and would recommend that.

+1 on Apartamento mags, they're always great with a good variety of interiors and the interviews are interesting.

Got the ikea sonos lamp. Very impressed. Much better than a 1 from a design perspective I think. Can’t comment on difference in sound though as only had a 3 before now.

Quite some progress, got curtains throughout the house (all from Astrid Textiles), kitchen is finished (I think I posted work in progress last time):

Had a custom bathroom cabinet made, wood with brass strips, etc - photo is a bit shitty:

Finalising the master bedroom now, got the furniture and we're going to have a custom wardrobe built there - but need to save some $$$ for that first.

Will take some more photos soon.

Okay thanks for the useful reply, yeah I must be thinking of Walter. yeah I remember seeing that chair before, very decent, lots of space for a beer and actually looks comfortable and decent.

Who manufactures it these days?
