A couple of people have mentioned on this thread before an auction house in London (both off and online) that, I think, does auctions twice a week. Have tried to find it within the thread, but to no avail.

Don't suppose anyone remembers the site?

I looked for a while at getting something to store shoes in, like you I couldn’t find anything so they now just stay on the floor beneath the coat hooks in the vestibule

I've got one of these in my hallway under the coat hooks it looks alright and tidies it up a little

If looking for specifics try https://www.liveauctioneers.com/ and the-saleroom.com and set up alerts. You may need to to set up individual bidding accounts for different auction houses.

Office chair question. Where is the best place to buy Aerons, and if a refurb is a good option? Also, if there is a good alternatives then open to ideas.

Thanks!

Just get an Aeron. All other chairs suck. Bought mine used off yahoo auctions when I lived in Japan. 12 years, 1 international and 7+ domestic/intercity moves later it's still solid as a rock. It's a tank. I can also sit in endlessly and never feel strain or fatigue. I dunno how Stumpf did it and why other chairs suck so much.

I'm using a Herman Miller EA219 Soft pad high back swivel chair and its just about the most comfortable chair you can use. Worth looking for a refurb on ebay or maybe a good real leather replica maybe as comfy?

Also MLI. Loving the apartment. Nice clean lines and great furniture (and hi-fi). Need to do a house tour Smiling

That looks decent: looking for something more permanent though ideally with doors. The bench looks great too.

I spent a bit more time looking, a company called birex makes some nice looking wall mounted units in different depths. I’m probably going to go for a mirror front one.

Theres also some German companies doing stuff but they were either too expensive or I couldn’t find a uk distributor.

Check out wantdontwant.com; they have a minimum order amount of £500 tho so you might have to do a group buy if you just want one chair. I always found the Mira more comfortable.

Cheers, that would be wasted in my vestibule and I wouldn’t want it in the hallway. I’ll just stick to having a pile of shoes on the floor

Wouldn't buy a repro. Have a look at ICF. The earlier ones were licensed and almost as good as Vitra/HM, fair bit cheaper as not as recognised.
