Currently thinking one of these two

https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/717183161/solid-oak-desk-with-drawer-solid-oak

any not very high profile sellers recommendations? I've scoured john lewis, habitat, loaf etc would be interested in littler known sellets

also sofa beds - any recommendations here? mostly used as sofa but occasional bed

Going to be moving house soon and will probably be a complete renovation. Looking for a decent quality finish, does anyone have a list or links to suppliers that are good quality stuff. Talking doors, hardware, light fixtures and fittings, bathroom suites, tiles etc basically the lot.

I remember someone a year or two ago posting pictures or their renovated apartment and thought it looked really ace. Can't remember who it was though.. Inspired by that here's a few promo pictures of ours after completion.

Been renovating the apartment over the last year or so. We stripped the whole apartment and redid everything basically by ourselves from the ground up. Total headache and won't be doing it ever again, but at least now it's completed. Never done anything similar to this before and basically needed to learn all the things on the go. Still need to repaint some walls in different color than white and add some artwork and decorative bits and pieces here and there to finish it off.

Pictures are taken by the company that supplied us with all the tiles, cabinets and countertops.

Also added a sauna - but they never took any pictures of it as did not supply any of the materials.

That looks awesome Cool Have you done it for yourselves or with a view to selling?

What's the chair in the bedroom? Looks a bit like Marcel Breuer but modern.

Cheers Cool

We did it for ourselves, but also kept the resell value in mind for example with the countertops as got a huge deal on it as the place was in a really bad shape originally. Would initially liked to have a bit more special countertops, but figured if we're going to sell the place in five years or so they should be white-ish and more widely liked. Wife designed the whole place including all the materials and furniture etc.

The chair is this (American Walnut), bought them also for the kitchen to replace the ones in the pictures.

Best of luck with that smokie. It's tough but feels good to have it finally completed. Especially if doing it all whilst working.

We live in Helsinki.

They were, you're correct! Place looked incredible and would've not done anything differently. Cool

Cheers! Yeah I do have a bunch, I'll try to get a few of them here this weekend. Built in 1999 and nothing was done after and the original owner only rented the apartment to 6 different families.

They're from AS Helsingö, also got all the Tapwell stuff from them as well (sinks, faucets etc).

Here's a few photos whilst the place was under construction - not really before pictures but you get the idea. Had to redo the ceilings, reroute all electrical wiring, waterproof the wetrooms all over etc. Obviously electrical and wetroom stuff was not done by us. Also found out that all of the electrics were illegal, done incorrectly when the whole building was initially built… Not a single switch or socket was connected to the residual current circuit breaker.

Haha "great memories", I bet it wasn't so great back then. Laughing out loud

Yeah the terrace and balcony we decided to redo next summer and just enjoy now as is. But that's not as much detailed work as the interior was so shouldn't be that big of a deal. Just grab some beers, repaint everything and change the tiles etc.
