Anyone got stuff by Tylko? Bought a unit for some vinyl storage last night but haven't seen or handled in the flesh.

Buddy of mine has three different units. He's a fan. They look nice with all the color/config options and seem solid. He's only had them for a little over a year though

Cheers. Seem to get good feedback. Will see when it arrives in 4 weeks or so.

Anyone using outdoor heaters, looking to heat under a large cantilever parasol, got kids running around so want to avoid anything too dangerous.

Any table lamp recommendations? Been looking at a Snoopy but maybe not that practical a light.

My absolute favourite is the AJ table lamp, got about 6 scattered around the house. The Hans Wegner Opala is also a very nice lamp.

I do like my lamps. The Atollo looks great. I've got a Flos x Starck Machine Gun (mid size in gold) which is possibly the most baller lamp you can buy but i have always coveted the Flos Taccia.

For worklamps the Luceplan BAP is great but the daddy is the Artemide Tizio which is stunningly versatile.

Cheers. All great suggestions, will have a think and decide. Got my Tylko units and both have damaged parts. Real pain as I now have a hallway full of boxes until replacement parts arrive.

Bit of a new home prob, place has been insulated to the max, I've attempted to fit a vitsoe shelf drawer (main wall at front) to plasterboard and what seems to be solid insulation thereafter. I've cut a 25mm hole to fit a Geefix, normal rawplugs weren't having it and there seems to be no cavity at all, can get a digit in and still feel insulation! Studs are nowhere near where I need them. It's holding but not great so will repair the holes and try again or alt?

Looking to place 2 cabinets on another internal, again studs are way off, not confident with any of the plugs on the market to hold this weight and insulation could be another prob. Even the solid brick walls are a mare to drill into. Didn't really want to (walls are perfectly finished) but is my only option to remove plasterboard, reinforce and then resurface?

I'll go for a compression fit in another room but could do with a solution for a lone run of cabinets. Vitsoe recommended a gun and raw plugs but I can't see cabinets getting a secure holding.

Only sure way, unfortunately, is to remove plasterboard and reinforce wall where you want cabinets to go. You could get lucky and get them to hold for a bit but when full of contents they can be a funny weight. If your fixing is not strong enough they could just fail and pull out of the wall at any time. A bit of a pain, but I'd reinforce for peace of mind.

Are the cabinets going to be low? Basically, you want it secure enough that you could sit on it and it still feel secure. No plasterboard fixing will give you that.

Main two are low under a wall fixed tv (assuming previous owner reinforced that section with ply)

Sounds like I need a plasterer in then.

Afraid so. Otherwise you'll end up with a damaged Vitsoe unit, damaged contents maybe and a big hole in the wall that a plasterer will need to fix anyway.

Anyone seen any nice digital DAB radio alarm clocks around? Think my Sony "Dream machine" that's nearly two decades old is on its last legs.
