Buy a wardrobe or a rack with a cover ?

Life is too short for dusting and vaccuuming

So you're just having too much gay sex and awesome times 24/7 to spend 20 minutes cleaning up? You must not spend much time at home if your life is so awesome but your place is so dirty.

"life is too short" excuse is usually just for lazy people. Obviously life isn't all fun. I don't think the meaning of life is to be happy 100% of the time either. People who think so are naiive, the good times are better when you've seen the bad. Personally I can't enjoy free time unless I've worked hard and achieved something recently.

WTF - housework rage

(was going to reply earlier but was too busy having awesome gay sex)

this thread needs more post, do you guys have your own spots?

Movin to a new spot and I'm looking for inspiration.

Spot curation is the new clothing curation. Clothing is continually getting more and more stale. I can see the trend is moving away from clothes and onto setting up ones personal enviornments.

What am I talking about? nothing, just wanted to bump this topic.

Made.com are having a daily sale, some nice stuff on there at the moment. I'll be curating an environment with the stroller desk if it goes on sale.

i'd put interior design (and design itself) very high up in my list of interests but its so frustrating that i cant really pursue it until i have my own place (other than a student flat). but this year i'll probably make an effort to make my new room decent, even if it means bringing up all my gplan from home

thank you bookstore, that is exactly what I had in mind when I made that post (some helpful links not necessarily listed in the 1st post). Especially SALES SALES SALES! I've been scouring the net for furniture/decoration sales and can't find anything good. Really appreciate it man!

I'm no superballer but I got these two looks in mind (noted the herman miller furniture, way out of my price rage for my age/wage) But on the budget steez

We've pretty much just finished re-decorating our dining room, got a nice chunky rustic style table for it, but now want some Eames chairs after seeing this:

I want the stroller as well, 299 seems a decent price, or a coffee table with the same attributes. I'd love to have a vintage credenza.

Edit:
wow this is is in my price range:

god do I want all that vintage shit, especially a couple of the fiberglass ones. what do you got with it now?

I'm thinking of putting my cheap 1930's one bedroom up, maybe take suggestions on how to decorate it, in budget of course. Shit is old as a motherfuck, but I think it would be a pretty interesting project…

my floors look like that, but brown, seeing that gives me inspiration. Like I said Mt shit is older than saggy balls, But I think I can get a good mix of emptiness, modern, and vintage over a period of time

Cheers, I'm after the bigger, more bold patterns though. My brother seems to reckon they're based on Kilim (Turkish?) rugs, but whenever I search that I don't find anything close enough to the ones in the picture.

Not the same but close? Wouldn't mind getting a rug after going through a search

Thanks Sayword, that's getting closer, think I just need to keep searching.

Nickball, maybe? Who's your Eames guy? Is he a furniture dealer of some sort?

It all depends on costs too, we currently have 4 chairs that don't match around the dining table (reckon it could take 8 in total) that we inherited from my family. I'd love 8 of those Eames chairs though, all in different colours as the rest of the room is white with a sanded wood floor. I'll put some pics up tomorrow, I need to clear it up a bit first though as the missus is using it as a bit of a studio and it's full of clutter at the moment.

he's just a mate who lives locally who restores and buys/sells this sort of stuff in his spare time, mainly eames. although i wasnt aware you were looking for 8, if it was just a couple to make up numbers he might be able to help. i'll bring it up next time i talk to him.

8 in total, eventually, but I'm happy for the collection to start gradually with just 1 or 2 to begin with. See what he has and let me know.
