If you’ve already got any Sonos (Sonii?), a Sonos 1 or Ikea Symfonisk lamp and use the alarm clock function.

How easy is it to remove glossy coating on a solid oak parquet floor, and reapply a matte finish?

Anyone bought a snug sofa? My new flat has a tiny entrance and my current sofa won't fit..

I have used easyframe.co.uk for relatively cheap frames but they don't have a good minimal brushed aluminium / steel options. Anyone seen a custom place that does them?

I have taken a punt on eframe.co.uk - couldnt get a preview image uploaded so a bit of a gamble.

Sparky DIY Qs…
I'm changing a rocker for ceiling light to a dimmer.
There is another double rocker elsewhere where one of the switches is for the same lights. The other rocker on that switch is for a hallway light.
A possible dimmer (Jung) requires a retractive push to make switch at the other end.
1. To make that work, is it a double 2-way switch that I require or a 3-way?
2. If I make the hallway a sensor active light and make the rocker redundant would I still require a 2-way switch, albeit a single retractive switch?

You’ll need a 2 gang 2-way switch.
If you bin off the switch for the hallway, then a 1 gang 2-way.

looks like a relative bargain based on proximity to London? Is Shepperton a shithole or something? Serious question, never heard of it.
Shepperton is alright - quite residential/suburban. Not a huge amount going on but also nothing wrong with it as a place. Easy to get into London and close to Weybridge, Hampton etc. I’d be surprised if that only went for £330k tbh but guess it does need some love and also does need the “right buyer” to appreciate it
