Try a tack cloth, really strong tape, or a really fine brush like a lens cleaner (pain if a large area). Go easy with any liquid, inc white spirit, could remove staining.

i'm gonna try and get nice antiques for the biggest pieces of furniture, but i'll need to buy cheaper stuff for a lot of the smaller bits - cushions, floor lamps, mirrors etc.
what's the next best cut above ikea? furnishing a flat from scratch for the first time … where's good for cheap and cheerful odds and ends?
Others can probably suggest more but depending on what age of item you are after these are worth keeping an eye on.

I got a new Aeron remastered at the start of lockdown. Was initially looking at used but there wasn’t a huge difference in price unless looking at really old ones (also needed a size C which were difficult to find), so plumped for a brand new one. Also nice to think I’m the only person who’s farted on it. It’s been great but there are occasions where I think it would be nice to have a head rest. I would try a few out if you can.

I used a classic when I went to our London office and loved the weightless feeling when leaning back. The remastered is negligible in cost new and used as you say.
A mate recommended the atlas headrest if you are looking?
Just bought an Ercol desk rira so that options out.

If Aeron, anyone seen the difference between the Remastered and Classic? Also, buy new or refurbished? Recommendations for office chairs? Is the Aeron still the way to go or other options? Looked at the Embody, Mirra, Steelcase Leap V2 and a few others.

Not the prettiest but definitely the best I've ever sat in.
Frequently on ebay for cheap.

Looking at a couple of odds and ends online (laundry basket, bath mat, lamp, etc) and looking for confirmation that it is not all total tat! Do folks find Zara home stuff is generally good quality?
the John Lewis anyday range is decent from what I've seen, if youre looking at budget stuff

Better quality than their clothes (but also priced like that) - from the stuff I've seen/owned it's pretty decent for the money

You can buy "refurbished" Humanscale chairs from 2ndHnd. Bought a Liberty a few years ago and you wouldn't know it had been used.

Had awful customer service buying from them. Sent the wrong chair, then right one but broken, then wrong one again.
